This is It, owned by Jill Johnson and Robert Reilly, won his PA-bred yearling class and was overall Reserve Champion PA-Bred horse.
Society Hill, owned by Britany Maack, was first in both the PA-bred Two-Year-Old Colt and Gelding class, and the Two-Year-Old TB Colt and Gelding class.

Royal Engagement, owned by Beth Orem and Justin Rowe, was 5th in both the PA-bred Three-Year-Old class and the Three-Year-Old/Other-than-TB mare class. She's looking all grown up, and we can't wait to see her start showing under saddle.
We were very pleased to get reacquainted with two full-sibling colts that we bred, Puzzle and Portfolio. Both are Palladio x Forever Noted, and they looked lovely in their Young Hunter Under Saddle classes. Puzzle made us additionally proud by bringing a 6th place ribbon for his handler in the Amateur Handler class.
The real highlight of our day was that Puzzle, who is only 4 years old, was shown in the Young Hunter class by Kirstin Hogue -- his TEN YEAR OLD owner (see Puzzle's photo page!)
The 2007 show year went by too fast. A summary of our activities:
2007 USEF ResultsApril Fool's Gold won her TB Yearling Filly class, completing what's been dubbed the Grand Slam of Hunter Breeding. This special filly won her classes at Devon, Upperville and Warrenton in a single show season. Not bad for a blonde!!
Our very leggy and beautiful Royal Engagement, making her away-show debut, was 6th in her very large Non-TB Yearling Filly class.
Royal Engagement made a big splash finishing 4th in the large Yearling Filly class.
April Fool's Gold was 5th in the same Yearling Filly class.
Despite the recent rainfall, our girls managed another successful outing. April Fool's Gold was named Champion PA-Bred Horse, Reserve Best Young Horse, and was the winner of both her PA-Bred Yearling Filly class and her TB Yearling Filly class. And Royal Engagement was named Reserve Champion PA-Bred Horse, and was second in both her PA-Bred Yearling Filly Class and her Non-TB Yearling Filly class.
Another great show for April Fool's Gold. She was awarded Champion PA-Bred Horse, and was the winner of both the PA-Bred Yearling Filly class, and TB Yearling Filly class.
Our youngsters made us proud as well. Bonfire Glo won his TB Yearling Colt class, while April Fool's Gold won her TB Yearling Filly class and brought home a Reserve Championship for the Cismont Farm Challenge Trophy.
Our thanks (as always) to Sam Manno for handling our horses in the ring, and Jill Manno for getting them looking their best.
No description of this show is complete without a huge congratulations to Sam Manno. Not only did Sam win Leading PA-Handler and Leading Handler overall, but he managed to do this after having his foot crushed in a class quite early in the morning. Vet wrap and an iron-will is all that got him through until the human doctors could tend to him the next day. Way to go Sam! We couldn't do what we do without "team Janno!!"
May 30 through June 4 - We will be at Devon, cheering on our horses. Look for us there!
At the Hollyhurst Horse Show, April Fool's Gold had a wonderful day. She was named Reserve Best Young Horse and Reserve Champion PA-Bred!!
On to the weekend show results!

First, our heart goes out to Barbaro and his connections on his terrible Preakness injury. We are praying for him, and know that the experienced staff at New Bolton Center will do everything that can be done.
We watched the race while coming off our own tragedy this week. On Friday, our lovely mare Cupid's Joy passed away. Despite all possible efforts, we were unable to save her foal. We can take comfort that she has been so happy and healthy these last months, and that neither suffered in their passing.
A small reminder of why we keep doing this came this morning, with the news that Forever Noted foaled a handsome buckskin colt by GP's Krugerrand. The foaling was uncomplicated, and both mare and colt are healthy. Welcome news in this tough week.
It's a darn good thing palominos look good in blue!! For the 2nd week in a row, April Fool's Gold was the winner of both her PA-Bred Yearling Filly Class and her TB Yearling Filly class. Meanwhile, Goldhaven was the winner of his TB Yearling Colt class and placed second in the PA-Bred Yearling colts class. We couldn't be more pleased with the progress our youngsters have made.
May 14, 2006 - What a perfect Mother's Day!! Gala Runaway foaled a beautiful colt this morning, around 5am. He appears to be black, and will most likely turn grey like his beautiful dam. Healthy, strong and correct, this is one stunning hunter pony!! We're looking forward to getting photos as soon as they have their first turnout.

At St. Christopher's Horse Show on May 10, Bonfire Glo was named Champion PA-Bred Horse, and was the winner of both the PA-Bred Yearling Colts class, and the TB Yearling Colts class. Pleased to have her share of the limelight, April Fool's Gold was the winner of both her PA-Bred Yearling Filly Class, and TB Yearling Filly class. We are very proud that our very own GP's Krugerrand is the sire of these special yearlings.
This event marked the show-ring debut of Goldhaven. He was third in the PA-Bred Yearling Colts Class, and second in the TB Yearling colts class...not bad for his first time off the farm.
Symmetry Ranch Homebred Puzzle made his 2006 debut as well. He was third in the PA-Bred Two Year Old Colts class, and fifth in the Non-TB Two Year Old colt class. Congratulations to owners John and Shannon Muldoon!

May 05, 2006 - Time to catch up on another busy week of events.
April 30, 2006 - We are excited to announce our newest arrival! All is Well gave birth to a lovely chestnut colt by GP's Krugerrand. It was a very difficult presentation (upside down), and we are grateful to Dr. Carlos Jimenez and Karin Jimenez for all their effort and skills which resulted in mare and foal coming through in fabulous condition.
Show results for the weekend:
April 24, 2006 - It must be spring when every weekend brings news!

GP's Krugerrand, Argo's Quest and now Argyle Quest - 3 generations of champions!!
March 05, 2006 - Early this morning, Skattered Gold foaled a healthy chestnut colt by Five Eighty Four. No snowstorms were involved but our vet did almost miss his flight out to the KWPN annual meeting. See our 2006 Foals Page for more information on our current foal crop.
February 26, 2006 - We've had some recent media coverage of our breeding program:
February 22, 2006 - Minister General's son "Wally" finished 3rd in the 3' Pre-Greens at Wellington, in a class of 29. Congratulations to his owner, Lyndsley Royster, and to his rider, Tommy Serio. What a great start to his season!
February 12, 2006 - Our first foal of the season hit the ground! Despite a Nor'easter that dumped more than a foot of snow overnight, our dam In By One gave birth at 5:30 AM to a beautiful and healthy Bay Filly, as yet unnamed. Her sire Five Eighty Four couldn't be more proud, and neither could we! See our 2006 Foals Page for more updates and photos.
